It so happens that ratings and contests are often not trusted in the modern world. In general, this opinion was developed correctly, and not from scratch. But the Runet Rating is not an ordinary case. Let’s just outline the facts of why this rating is trustworthy:
The methodology is completely open. On the website you can find detailed descriptions with formulas.
Multifactorial analysis. When calculating points, turnover is taken into account (excluding subcontracts and advertising budgets), the number of clients who received cross-sectional services, the length of time they worked with customers, specialization (when they are not multi-site employees, but specialized contractors), customer return (when they come back to the same agency after a break), etc. Everything is in the methodology.
Openness and communication in the refinement of the methodology. All changes are discussed openly, with the involvement of both parties: customers and agencies.
The project’s website has banners and so-called null lines (with an asterisk, without a number). The project earns and pays off due to the obvious advertising spots, which are expensive enough to remove all questions about the «venality» of the ratings themselves.
Tough checks. The system randomly selects 10% of each agency’s projects, which the participants confirm with contracts, acts, working materials, everything that is needed to convince the moderator that the data was entered without distortion.
